SA experiences shortage of young male stem cell donors ahead of World Blood Donor Day
By increasing the pool of male donors, particularly those aged 18-30, the chances of successful transplants and patient survival can be significantly improved. Experts encourage males between the ages of 17 and 55 to register to be blood donors.
